Consumer ALERT: Major Bottled Water Recall, Possible E. Coli Contamination

Bottled Water Recall: Possible E.Coli Contamination It is super important to stay hydrated in the scorching summer heat. But before you drink up, there is a recall that you should know about. Wegmans is recalling some of its bottled spring water due to the possibility that the products could be contaminated with E. coli. The retailer is recalling 16.9 oz. bottles of Wegmans Food You Feel Good About Spring Water, with Niagra Bottling LLC labels, that have “best by” dates between June 16, 2016 and June 18, 2016.

The following products have been included in the Wegmans recall, and are the only bottles in question: *Wegmans Food You Feel Good About Spring Water 16.9 oz., UPC 7789018860 *Wegmans Food You Feel Good About Spring Water 16.9 oz., 12 pack, UPC 7789010085 *Wegmans Food You Feel Good About Spring Water 16.9 oz., 24 pack, UPC 7789028768 *Wegmans Food You Feel Good About Spring Water 16.9 oz., 35 pack, UPC 7789029365 The retailer has released a message to consumers stating that: “No other sizes or code dates of Wegmans bottled water are affected by this recall.

This bottled water is treated with a continuous ozonation process, a proven kill step for E. coli. The recall was issued out of an abundance of caution.” So far, there have been no reported incidents of illness due to these products but it is always better to be safe than sorry.

You can stay hydrated and keep your family safe this summer. If you have purchased the products in question, they can be returned for a full refund.
