VIDEO: I Bet You’ve Never Seen Paper Snow Flakes Quite Like This. WHOA!

Lacy paper snowflake decorations look fantastic, but can be surprisingly easy to make. It’s a fun and fast project which requires little more than ten squares of paper. To begin with, one needs to fold the paper into a triangle, and then repeat that process to make it even smaller. Then, using a pencil, draw five straight lines on the triangle. use of a rule or other straight item can be helpful to ensure the lines are perfect.

While one can add their own touch, in general the lines should be about 1 cm apart from each other. Keep in mind later on that the number of lines and their spacing is one of the biggest factors in adding variety to the end result. The lines themselves should also be drawn fairly lightly. Next, take a pair of scissors and carefully cut across the lines. However, it’s vital that one leave the last bit of paper at the end of the line uncut.

The triangle should still be held together as one piece by the time the lines are all cut. If needed, one can then erase the pencil marks. Next, unfold the triangle and you’ll see that the snowflake is mostly done. Fold the center of the square together and hold it with glue.

It can be easier if one puts a pencil between them to create a cylindrical shape. Then remove the pencil and glue the tips of the two folds next to that area together to create another cylinder. Next, repeat that process until all edges are wrapped. Repeat the process again with another piece of paper. In total, one should have around six of them at the end. Then glue them together, point to point. Then one simply needs to hang them as ornaments around one’s home.
