VIDEO: She Pours Milk Into A Ziploc Bag. Wait Until You See Why! SO BRILLIANT!

It’s that time of the year, school parties and winter break. If you’re a teacher looking for a fun science lesson or a parent needing a craft activity, this one will win the kids over.

A mom recently discovered a great way to make ice cream, without the use of any machines or long freezing time. She simply used Ziploc bags and a few staple ingredients. Best of all, it takes less than 15 minutes. Perfect to keep children engaged.

You will need milk, cream, sugar, vanilla extract, ice, salt, one medium Ziploc bag and one large Ziploc bag.

Pour 1/2 cup of milk and 1/2 cup of cream into a bowl and mix well. Add 3 tbsp. of sugar and 1/2 tsp. of vanilla extract, mix well. Pour this mixture into the medium Ziploc bag and seal well. Pour four cups of ice into the large Ziploc bag.

Now comes the science lesson, add salt to the ice. In order for the ice cream to freeze, it needs to lose temperature. It needs to lose energy. The salt and ice will absorb the energy, lowering the ice cream mixture temperature and freezing it. You will need to be generous with the salt, about 8 tbsp.

Place the medium, sealed bag into the large Ziploc bag. Seal the large Ziploc bag and shake for about ten minutes. Soon you will have ice cream for the kids and have taught them about energy.
