Riusake Fukahori, a talented Japanese artist, has perfected an amazing technique of painting three-dimensional goldfish that appear to have been frozen in time while swimming. Mr. Fukahori, who has taken years to perfect his awesome painting technique, discloses that he is able to paint the goldfish in such a life-like manner because he understands their souls.

He uses various sizes and shapes of containers and other household items, paints the various types of goldfish in layers and then pours liquid resin on top which gives the desired effect of goldfish swimming in each container. The goldfish look so real, that most people who see Riusake Fukhori’s work think that he has actually used live goldfish to create his work.

The goldfish have a three-dimensional appearance that is a very difficult painting technique to master. His amazing work captures the goldfish’s various colors, shapes, and sizes. He is even able to capture the reflection of the scales along with the life-like eyes and open mouth which seems so alive that the viewer has to wonder if the goldfish are actually real.
