VIDEO: Tommy Chong Calls Foxnews Stupid To Their Face On Live TV

Fox News is obsessed with Jonathan Gruber, the MIT economist who has been saying Obamacare became law because lawmakers knew voters would not be smart enough to understand its ramifications. So said medical marijuana advocate Tommy Chong. He said Fox New is as obsessed with Gruber as they were with Benghazi. An article on msnbc.com calls the focus on Gruber’s statements a sideshow. (msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/the-mess-jonathan-gruber-created). Chong’s remarks were made in a conversation with four Fox hosts.

On her show Out Numbered, Fox host Sandra Smith said the videos of Gruber’s statements about the reliance of lawmakers on the American voters’ stupidity was relevant. Chong, on the other hand, said it was simply another attack on Obamacare from a different angle. Out Numbered co-host Andrea disagreed. She said it was an attack on the American people and asked if it is okay to lie if you can get away with it. Chong replied, ‘It’s called politics.’

The tempest in a teapot continued with Smith wondering about Gruber’s reason for making his statements about the Obama administration relying on the American people’s stupidity about the health care law and Chong saying one has to define stupidity. He then goes on to clarify his position and give a definition.

An analysis by PunditFact published recently seemed to support Tommy Chong’s position. PunditFact said Fox News had mentioned Gruber’s statements 779 times, while MSNC has mentioned them 79 times and CNN has only mentioned them some 27 times since the story broke in early November.
