The process starts by choosing a medium to large well-rounded pumpkin. Just like you would with any other jack-o-lantern, cut out the top and dig out all of the pulp and seeds. Then, the real fun begins.
Either use a regular screwdriver or a power drill to begin poking holes into the pumpkin. The beauty of this design is that the holes can be randomly placed all over the pumpkin, including the top that you previously cut out. In other words, there is no messing this up.
After the pumpkin has been thoroughly poked, attach several strings to it to serve as handles. Add some sort of lighting element to the inside, and you’re finished! If you can find a flashlight with a flashing emergency beacon, you’ll achieve a great disco effect.
This ball can be used as a disco ball hung from the ceiling to give your party just the right amount of spooky illumination, or it can be used as a table centerpiece or simply a really cool decoration. For the technical types out there, the pumpkin can be fitted with a motorized disco ball spinner to achieve the true disco ball effect.
