You would expect a dog to eat a fish that had just been caught and was helplessly lying on land, right? Apparently, some dogs have a soft heart. If there were such a thing as a “doctor dog” this story would confirm this.
Several fish were lying on dry land. This one-of-a-kind dog came along and tried to save them. He was desperately trying to push as much water from nearby puddles on the fish. He pushed the water, in vain, with his nose. He could sense the fish needed water in order to survive. He even nudged one of the fish after pushing some water and putting it over the fish’s gills.
When he saw a little movement from the fish, he tried even harder to push more water toward the fish, with his nose.
This is a very heartwarming story of a dog with a big heart. In the animal world survival of the fitest usually causes a bigger, stronger animal to take advantage of a helpless animal. Not so with this story. This dog gets a badge of honor for finding fellow animals who needed help and trying to save them. His name should be The Good Samaritan dog.
