VIDEO: I’m Speechless With What You Can Do With An Apple And A Small Knife. STUNNING!

Any ordinary apple can be used to create an edible swan.

Pick out an apple and cut it at a slight diagonal that traverses the center of the apple. Save two of the seeds for use later as the eyes of the edible swan. Next, place the side that has the apple bottom face down on the cutting board.

Place two metal butter knives on parallel sides of the apple. The butter knives will act as spacers when cutting the apple. Use the knife to cut the apple an inch off the center until the knife comes against the spacers. Then cut the apple from the side using the spacers as a guide and a nice apple wedge is removed. Repeat the process on the other side. Repeat the same procedure on the newly removed wedges with one caution.

As the wedges are getting smaller, turn the apple wedge on its side to always cut down towards the spacers and avoid cutting toward one’s own fingers. For each new wedge, repeat the process and then layer stack them back together to create the effect of a wing. It will create the allusion of a swan body.

For the head, cut out a wedge from the top part of the swan’s body about as thick as a butter knife. Then take other apple half and cut from the bottom using the spacers as guides to get a thin slice. Repeat this 3 or 4 times. You’re looking for a slice that slightly resembles a heart.

On that slice, make an angled cut close to the top part of the heart for the head, a horizontal cut from that angle to form the neck and a cut along the bottom of the slice to form a flat base. You’ll see the shape a swan head emerging. Smoothen the edges of the swan head and use a butter knife to press the seeds in position as eyes. Then attach to the body and a beautiful edible swan has been created.
