Marco Rubio Accepts $100,000 From Betsy DeVos’ Family Just Before Confirming Her

United States Senator Marco Rubio had promised the American people that he would help provide strong checks and balances when it came to newly appointed President Donald Trump. So far Rubio has failed to deliver on his promise and his most recent vote in favor of Betsy DeVos is just another broken promise to the American public.

President Trump had recently appointed Betsy DeVos as Secretary of Education which led to many public educators voicing their upset at this appointment. DeVos, who has zero experience with the educational system, has been approved by the Senate with a backing from Marco Rubio.

It just so happens, according to the Federal Election Commission reports, that Rubio has accepted nearly $100,000 from the DeVos family which is more than any other Senator who confirmed her appointment.

Before DeVos was confirmed, many Americans marched in protest of her appointment in Rubio’s district offices and others called his phone line in Washington DC. So many people called in protest that his voice mail filled up.

Not only did Rubio not listen to the voice of the people he is supposed to be serving, he has also backed every single one of President Trump’s plans thus far. He has yet to oppose any of Trump’s plans or nominations for his cabinet members.
