101-Year-Old Veteran Rides A Harley For The Last Time – With 50 Bikers Riding Behind Him

In some cases, the old adage definitely holds true: age is just a number. None one has proven this saying more than Ray Weser. Although he will hit the ripe old age of 102 in December, Weser’s life passions have not decreased one bit. Specifically, his joy for Harley-Davidson motorcycles is undiminished. Back in his younger years, he even worked for the iconic company.

Weser recounts his love affair with the bikes in lyrical fashion, praising the oil and smoke—and sheer exhilaration. Pictures from his youth document his hobby, showcasing Weser wearing goggles and sitting atop one of the magnificent machines. His lifelong fascination with Harleys would never wane.

Although he wanted nothing more than to hop on one of these magic motorcycles, he knew that time would be closing in on him soon. When he expressed his dream to ride a Harley again, Weser’s community truly came through for him.

Not only did the centenarian get to ride on the back of a Tri Glide, but he was also accompanied by a procession of 50 VFW Harley riders. It was an incredible day for everyone involved, and Weser’s granddaughter mentioned that he probably already felt as if he’d died and gone to heaven.
