Here’s What She Was Made After Dropping Popsicle Sticks In A Pot Of Boiling Water. Cute!

Popsicle sticks are among some of the most inexpensive crafting supplies. They are stereotypically used to make God’s eyes, marionettes, mobiles, and even model bridges. Take heed crafters, a super cute and ultra creative use for popsicle sticks is a secret no more!

Did you know that popsicle sticks can be used to make bangle bracelets?

It is recommended to use wider sticks, like tongue depressors, but if you are making these for the wee lasses, sticks leftover after a visit from the ice cream man will do just as well. You begin by gently boiling a pot of water. You can add the sticks before or after the heat is going, but take great care not to allow the water to grow to a rumbling river. Leave the sticks to boil for approximately an hour, checking on them every ten to fifteen minutes. Add more water if needed.

Remove the sticks from the lid and place on a towel for approximately ten to fifteen minutes. The sticks should be cool and damp. This process has allowed the sticks to become bendable. Bending carefully, wrap the sticks to the inside of a spray paint can lid or a similar round object. Place the lids somewhere warm and dry for about 24 hours.

Carefully remove the stick from the lid. You now have the base for your bracelet. Decorate the bracelet with paint, marker, or use double-sided tape to decorate with pre-printed designs.

Coat your new bracelet with a layer of Modge Podge and allow ample time for the coating to dry. The adorable result is sure to be a hit at craft shows or a favorite for the little lady in your life!
