The greatest television that has ever been aired involved variety shows and live stage performances. One of the greatest names to come out of the early television and country scene is the legendary Glenn Campbell. After decades of performances and millions of fans, Glen has amassed many awards from both his fans and his peers.

His list of award winning hits include such titles as “Rhinestone Cowboy”, “Wichita Lineman”, “Galveston”, and “Southern Nights”. He has received awards for Male Vocalist of the Year, Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and Entertainer of the Year. However, Glen is much more than just a country singer; he also gave us his Golden Globe nomination performance on screen in the movie “True Grit”.

Unfortunately, Glen’s health has not stood the test of time as well as his music has. He recently has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, and has since stopped performing. His last tour called his “Goodbye Tour” included three of his children touring with him in his band.

The last recording that he made was of the song, “I’m Not Gonna Miss You”. The title of this song ends his career on an ironic note, because Glen will be greatly missed by all when he is gone.

The lifetime achievements of this talented performer, along with his own personal struggles, are poured out in this moving performance. The level of emotion that can be heard in his voice is deafening to his admirers in this final performance and taping of this video.
