The Hobby Lobby birth control ruling has caused a large amount of discussion to begin on the role of single women within society, a role that does not seem to be valued much by Fox News host Jesse Watters.
Appearing as the lone male guest on the Fox News talk show Outnumbered, Watters explained his view to the panel of women that single US women require health care assistance from the government because they do not have a husband to pay for their health insurance.
Watters went on to state the response from possible Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was simply a ploy to win over the important voting bloc of single young women who make up around one quarter of the electorate. Clinton has expressed he support for all companies to subsidize a copay for birth control, support, Watters claimed, she would continue to assert in her bid to win the White House.
Discussing the single ladies vote, as Watters dubbed it, the Fox News anchor stated the Beyonce vote would be an important one when the next Presidential election came around. The hosts of many Fox News shows have singled out Beyonce as causing social problems in the US, Bill O’Reilly recently claimed the singer was a bad role model who was encouraging young black women to get pregnant outside marriage.
