Since the 1970s, things have only become worse for Blacks. In fact, the millions of good paying jobs created during the Reagan boom, in contrast to the millions of part-time fast food jobs being created now, did nothing to improve the lives of African-Americans.
That is the opinion of political analyst Noam Chomsky who believes that Reagan was a secret racist who introduced a new brand of slavery to criminalize being black. His comments may reverberate among those racially inflamed over the events in Ferguson and New York City.
However, it only takes reading a list of simple questions to realize just how much progress has truly been made despite the beliefs of Mr. Chomsky and the recent events dominating the news.
