VIDEO: I Couldn’t Believe My Eyes When I Saw What This Toddler Was Able To Do!

This 16-month-old child has learned to swim in a pool and roll over to take a brief break and catch her breath, and then continue swimming. The child, Elizabeth, was taught to do this by a registered nurse, and a former lifeguard and ISR certified instructor.

She moves well in the water, even looking at the camera when she’s finished and back to the side of the pool. The people that instructed her were also trained in CPR and water safety as well as advanced pediatric life support. Elizabeth shows an obvious comfort with being in the water and shows no panic while performing the amazing maneuver. You will want to watch it more than once.

Comfort in the water can be key to teaching youngsters to swim but should never be tried without the properly trained people in attendance.

See the video that has been making the rounds and amazing everyone who has seen it. ISR, the people who are responsible for giving Elizabeth her understanding of the water and how to move easily in it, stands for Infant Swimming Resource. Information on instruction can be found at isrwaterkids.com.
Never try to teach children this young to swim on your own.
