VIDEO: I Can’t Believe The House They Just Built For $500. You Have To See This!

What happens when two artists get together and decide to quit their summer jobs to build a cabin in the woods instead? Well if you happen to be photographer Nick Olson and designer Lilah Horwitz the answer is something amazing, beautiful, and right out of a modern day fairy story.

Those Who Live in Glass Houses While it might sound a little ludicrous this couple turned a scrap heap they found in the forest into a unique house made mostly of glass. A pile of scrap boards and old windows became, with a little ingenuity, a lot of hard work, and about $500 in cash, a perfectly livable cabin in the woods.

While it lacks plumbing and electricity it still has a rustic charm that makes it look like something straight out of the pages of Neil Gaiman. How Is It? As a full time living spot the cabin is less than ideal (see the previously mentioned no electricity and no plumbing), but for Horwitz and Olson that isn’t the point.

The cabin is a creative escape, and a place where they can go to just be with themselves and their own ideas. When it comes to that aspect their cabin in the woods is the most ideal place on earth (at least for these two). While the two creative specialists haven’t said whether or not they’re going to make that cabin a regular living space, they haven’t said it’s out of the question yet. Also no word on whether they plan on throwing stones.
