Sometimes Mother Nature lashes out and the defenseless are caught in her grips. Storms can be beautiful and ominous at the same time. This can cause people to stay inside away from the terrifying forces of nature. But, that is not always a choice for our pets that can be caught outside when the forces of nature are terrifying and dangerous for them.
When pets are caught in one of these storm events they may not be able to find any cover where they are safe. This was the case for this sweet little dog. Fortunately, for this little guy rescuers were on the scene quickly with an airlift back to dry land. Witnesses reported the accident to authorities when they saw him being swept into the Los Angeles River. A quick thunderstorm turned the river into a raging danger zone.
Onlookers cheered as the rescue team delivered the dog to safety. Watch the video to see this dramatic rescue and hear one bystander exclaim, “It was something to see.”
The lucky little dog was wearing a color and leash and now the rescuers are searching for the owner. He was not wearing tags, but they are hoping that he that he can be identified and returned to his owner.
