Cats, and especially kittens, are infinitely curious. They will climb into every little hole or enclosure they can find. They will go into every room and every opening that they discover.
This little kitten was no different and got herself stuck in a precarious predicament. She was stuck in the bottom of an air conditioner unit with only her head poking out. She was alone, scared, and completely helpless.
This sad sight was discovered and the Humane Society of Central Oregon was called to rescue the little kitten. If the little kitten could get into the hole, she could easily get out of the hole if she simply relaxed. However, with only her head poking out, and after the long time she was in the hole, relaxation was the last thing that was on her mind. When the Humane Society workers arrived, they tried to help her back through the hole, but she would try to bite and fight with the technicians. This would cause the little kitten to possibly hurt herself and the technicians would definitely get hurt.
They gave the little kitten a tranquilizer and she relaxed. Then they gently pushed her head through the hole, wrapped a rope around her tummy, and pulled her to safety. Now this little kitten is happily living in a foster home where she is learning to be around people and other animals. Her new best friend is a shaggy dog that allows her to relax and cuddle up in his paws
