It seems as though Tucker Carlson has a few ideas of why people smoke and are overweight. He has always been none to voice his opinions on the country in a right-wing attitude, but his recent statements may have just taken the cake. Carlson thinks that the reason people who are poor are overweight is because they aren’t insecure about food.
He believes that food is cheap, so poor people will go ahead and eat more. In the neighborhoods of poor people, there are those who are overweight. Poor neighborhoods also have their fair share of people who smoke.
A nod to rich neighborhoods is that you won’t see anyone overweight, and there aren’t as many people who smoke. He states that you can go to almost any rich neighborhood and hardly see anyone who is smoking a cigarette or who is overweight.
Perhaps that is because those who live in rich neighborhoods are more focused on paying the bills for their house payments than being concerned with eating cheap food and buying smoking products. One of the reasons for being overweight and poor is that some people are on unemployment, and being out of work makes some people depressed, leading them to eat more instead of getting out of the house to exercise.
