TV talk show host Bill O’Reilly wrote “Killing” books about the assassinations of Presidents Kennedy and Lincoln. He was promoting his latest “Killing” book called Killing Patton,on Dan La Batard’s ESPN show through a phone interview. O’Reilly believed there was something strange about Patton’s death because the facts didn’t make any sense.
They started talking about Bill O’Reilly’s youth and his friendship with Billy Joel. Everything was peaceful until Dan La Batard asked O’Reilly if there was anything in his career that made him angry. Bill said he didn’t want to talk about it. La Batard played anInside Edition clip from when Bill O’Reilly hosted the show and wanted to get the former Inside Edition host’s opinion of it.
It was the end of another episode of Inside Edition. Bill O’Reilly was signing off until he noticed the teleprompter had no words on it. He became angry and started cursing. A crew member told him they’re going to play out the segment with Sting’s latest song. Bill O’Reilly started yelling again, “What do you mean by play us out?”
Again he was profane. At first, he started to introduce the video but chickened out. Again,cussing. “We’ll do it live.” La batard suddenly realized Bill O’Reilly had hung up when the hissy fit video was shown.“There’s no way he’s still there, right? He’s gone? He left?” Le Batard asked. “Oh, I wanted his reaction to that so bad.”
