VIDEO: Baby Owl Shows Of His Dance Moves, It’s Better Than Anything I Can Do. AWW!

One of the more spry and joyful rescue animals at the Green Bay Charitable Hospital is this healthy baby owl. It has come through a rough time being orphaned in the wild, but now has a new lease on life because of its caretakers.

This Morepork Owl, or Ruru in the language of the native Maori people, was rescued at about one week-old. For unknown reasons, this little show-stopper was abandoned in the wild. Fortunately, caring people saw its need, and have dedicated many resources to its health and growth.

This video is proof that baby birds rescued are treated wonderfully and have the chance to flourish at this animal hospital. A few weeks of care are yet needed before this gorgeous bird can be released back into the wild, but its dance moves are already perfected!

With the aid of a reflective mirror and some “phat beats,” this little rescue owl is happy enough to dance with delight and show an audience every angle of its natural cuteness. This cuteness would is only possible because of the effort of the animal scientists and husbandry veterans at New Zealand’s Green Bay Charitable Hospital for animals. This teenaged Morepork owl is a thriving example of how people can assist wildlife in rehabilitation for a long life in the wild.

The Green Bay facility is intimately connected with the New Zealand Bird Rescue crews and offices. One viewing of this video will show how happy and healthy rescue birds can be with a little human help!
