These Giant Dogs Come Face-to-Face With Ducklings And Something Adorable Happens

Many people have misconceptions of animals based solely on their outward appearance.

It has been thought that large dogs of certain breeds are more aggressive and threatening than the smaller of the breeds. However, most frequently, this is not the case. These larger breed dogs often are wonderful family additions with strong attachments to their keepers and a love for all of the members of the family.

Sometimes these gentle giants have so much love to give that it goes beyond the boundaries of dog and human companionship. A great example of this type of behavior is the greeting between a Great Dane puppy and two fuzzy yellow ducks.

This not so tiny pup named Mr. Big was introduced to two little ducklings that are joining the Iambert family. Perfectly calm and collected, Mr. Big lies on the patio cement and gets a good look at the ducks from a slight distance. He lowers his head to the level of the ducklings and takes a gentle lick at the backside of one of them.

The ducklings move slightly away. He lays his head down and is content until the ducklings start to move, and then he gets to his paws to circle and investigate.

Towering over them, Mr. Big uses his huge puppy nose to keep them within reach, as they waddle around. Not a note of aggression or harm from this misconceived gentle giant breed of dog. Strong evidence that the biggest dog is not always the biggest bully.
