We need not drop another bomb on our enemies to do more damage to them than we could ever imagine. Instead, we just need to invest in green energies and aggressively promote them.
Why would this be so effective you may ask? Because of the rest of the world’s reliance on selling oil to the United States. The United States has long been the biggest purchaser of oil in the world. However, increased domestic production along with newer alternative energies have helped to slow the demand for oil.
China is seeing a slow down in the growth of its economy as well, and this too has helped slow the pace of oil demand. The price of oil has fallen some 25% from the peak in June. Dictatorships in the Middle East are crumbling as the people grow restless with stagnant economies no longer fueled by the demand for oil from the United States.
Russia has also seen roadblocks thrown in its way as the decreased demand for their oil has made it impossible for them to pay the soldiers who might otherwise have worked to conquer other countries and helped reestablish Russia as a major world superpower. Job creation in the United States on the other hand has been bolstered by the new types of energy that we are exploring, and that certainly makes it hard to argue against this type of investment in our future.
We are starting to establish a more peaceful and stable world, all without dropping a single bomb.
