There’s nothing quite like a dose of reality to wake a person up to the truth. In the case of abortion vs the sanctity of life, former GOP vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin suggested to actor-host Mario Lopez that strong abortion proponent Hillary Clinton may soon experience an epiphany. Mrs. Clinton’s daughter Chelsea is expecting her first child and Palin points out that perhaps having a grandchild will temper Mrs. Clinton’s pro-abortion stance and even convert her to be pro-life.
Such a transformation would be tremendous and mark a big political shift for Clinton. Palin has been taking a lot of heat for her recent remarks before the NRA that as president she would use water-boarding to baptize terrorists. Many critics on the Left are suggesting that she likened water-boarding to the Holy Sacrament.
It is interesting to note that the Left generally loathes Christianity and Christians. So it would make sense they would confuse the ritual of the sacrament used to remember the atoning sacrifice of Christ with the ordinance of baptism. However, Palin, a born-again Christian, is not confused on with the distinction and pointed it out to Mario Lopez during her interview on the show “Extra!”
Speaking of “sacraments”, it should be noted that for the political Left abortion is the sacrament of their ideology. No one is regarded as a true liberal who does not support abortion. So for Hillary Clinton to flip-flop on that single issue would be monumental. Palin hopes Chelsea’s baby will also awaken Clinton to the need of addressing the tremendous US deficit which now stands at $17 trillion.
