The watchdog group known as Judicial Watch continues to earn their reputation for confronting the powerful and disseminating information otherwise inaccessible to the public. The latest batch of e-mail they obtained through the Freedom of Information Act reveals a breakthrough in regards to the Benghazi cover up. Naturally, the item is being reported on Fox News, which network has almost single-handedly covered the story when all other major news outlets chose to ignore it.
The e-mail is from Mr. Ben Rhoades who was no less than the White House Deputy National Security Advisor. In the text, he advises National Security Advisor Susan Rice to place particular emphasis on the September 11, 2012 terrorist attacks as having been caused by a YouTube video which was offensive to Muslims. He prodded Rice to hit the Sunday news circuits blaming an American filmmaker for provoking protests when then turned violent. It should be noted that the filmmaker was taken into federal custody for months over the incident.
Rhoades makes the reason for blaming the little known movie very clear: the Obama administration did not want the public to see his failed foreign policies. He was after all in the run up to the election against Mitt Romney. Bear in mind that records now indicate that on the evening of the attack, officials from the Department of Defense rightly called the incidents as “terrorist attacks”.
It will be interesting to see how the administration responds to this latest revelation. They’ve already changed their position on Benghazi a dozen times as chronicled by ABC News.
