According to a report issued by the conservative non-profit research group called the “Center for Immigration Studies” (CIS), President Obama was behind a decision by Immigrations & Customs Enforcement (ICE) to release 68,000 illegal aliens with criminal convictions. Those convictions included violent offenses including rape or other sexual abuses and drugs. As per Fox News, President Obama released the illegals for the express purpose of gaining votes for Democrats in the upcoming mid-term elections.
Supporters of President Obama believe the Fox News video regarding the story has been deceptive and edited to make the president appear complicit if not directly responsible for the ICE decision. After all, just who is Barrack Hussein Obama that anyone should hold him accountable for the actions of a federal agency?
He is the president. Supporters of Obama cite that fact that he is making the rounds touting the need to include means for law enforcement people to do their jobs as a vital part of immigration reform. However, didn’t law enforcement do their job? Just how did ICE detain 68,000 illegals with criminal convictions if not for the assistance of law enforcement? Won’t the release of those individuals put them back on US streets for law enforcement to reduplicate their efforts?
It should be noted that in one of President Obama’s favorite books, “Rules for Radicals”, one of the tactics to adopt is the language of your opponents precisely at the time you are acting against their wishes. Might it be that the president is merely following his radical roots to speak pro-law enforcement while releasing the illegals with criminal convictions?
