Republicans Furiously Defended Health Care Reform Under Bush

Bush happened to have the same glitches and problems that Obamacare is currently seeing with millions of people trying to enroll.

The number of people trying to enroll is just a sign that it is needed in America.

During Bush’s rollout officials had trouble getting the program up and running and allowing people to enroll, this delay lasted for a few weeks.

The program Bush’s administration had issues implementing was the Medicare prescription drug benefit initiative.

Yet, those Republicans who are bashing Obama for his issues with the Affordable Health Care Act had no issues giving Bush a pass for his mess.

“REP. TIM MURPHY (R-PA): “Any time something is new, there is going to be some glitches. All of us, when our children were new, well, we knew as parents we didn’t exactly know everything we were doing and we had a foul-up or two, but we persevered and our children turned out well. No matter what one does in life, when it is something new in learning the ropes of it, it is going to take a little adjustment.” [Murphy Floor Speech via Congressional Record, 4/6/2006]”
