Israeli prime minister Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu is engaged in a fierce war with Hamas-controlled Gaza.
Thus far, hundreds of rockets have been fired at Israel, but few have struck their targets due to the Israeli anti-rocket system called “Iron Dome”.
Hamas has also dug tunnels under the Israeli border to smuggle in weapons and potential suicide bombers. However, Prime Minister Netanyahu is not having any of it. He has taken a hard line against the terrorists in Gaza and targeted their weapon sites.
Sadly, Hamas is using their own people including children as human cannon fodder by placing missile launchers in schools, mosques, and other civilian targets. Israel is fighting against the threat with little to no regard to what the world community has to say about them.
Against this backdrop, author and conservative columnist Ann Coulter was on the Fox News channel recently and openly asked why the United States can’t deal with the border issue much the same as the Israelis are doing. She cited the fact that the 100 plus tunnels found along the US border are being used to smuggle in drug traffic, weapons, and criminally minded people.
She said that the wave of deaths occurring in Chicago may well be the work of a Mexican drug cartel. Presumably, they would have made their entrance into the country via the tunnels. She has asked where’s our Netanyahu. The political Left often lacks a sense of humor when it comes to conservatives and often react to Coulter’s comments with vitriol. She does have a point though that the Left is more concerned with the illegals and world opinion that they are with how the loose border policy affects Americans.
