A woman kept noticing that a dog was wandering around her yard every day. He was a bit older and looked tired, but since he had a nice collar and a full belly, she could tell that he had owners who loved him and took care of him. The dog would let the woman pet him, and eventually, he even followed her into her house.
Over the next few weeks, the dog developed a routine. He would walk into the house, go down the hall to a quiet corner, and then curl up and go to sleep. After sleeping for about an hour, the dog would walk to the door and wait patiently until the woman would let him out.
She was starting to get very curious about the dog’s owners, so she pinned a note to his collar that said “I would like to find out who the owner of this wonderful sweet dog is and ask if you are aware that almost every afternoon your dog comes to my house for a nap.”
The next day, when the dog arrived for his usual nap, the woman noticed that there was another note tucked under his collar. The note said “He lives in a home with 6 children, 2 under the age of 3 he’s trying to catch up on his sleep. Can I come with him tomorrow?”
