Macy Miller’s life-long dream was to someday build herself a tiny home. Minimalism is appealing for a lot of reasons, portability, simplicity, affordability… And Macy had some BIG plans for her little house.

The project was delayed several times for several reasons but eventually she realized her goal. Built on a flat trailer bed and ready to move at any time, this portable little home is very cleverly designed. Macy even built it to include an outdoor porch. Despite the size, she managed to maintain the character and aura of a real full-sized home. She really had to focus on what she absolutely needed in the home and what she could do without.

The house was completed well within her budget, but when Macy met her husband and they had a child, some additional costs started popping up. Naturally. The challenges of adding a co-sleeper and re-doing the floors were difficult, and relatively pricy, but well worth it.

Macy also lightened the color of the interior along with other changes when the couple announced they were having their second child. Now the tiny home would have to accommodate four. The renovations were completed over only ten weekends. The result was a 232 square foot home that they are very happy with.
