With A Piece Of Paper And A Mason Jar Lid, She Creates The Cutest New Decoration Idea!

Sniffle season is upon us, and people are more than ever in need of kleenex tissues. It can be frustrating if your house isn’t prepared with the right sanitation supplies, especially when you become sick. One idea to consider doing would be to create a homemade tissue holder with a mason jar. This could be a fun alternative to buying an already made tissue holder at the store.

It’s simple enough to have your kids join in, and it could add a little home decor to the house. Supplies you’ll need:

  • A mason jar with a lid.
  • A pack of knleenex tissues.
  • An exacto knife.
  • Decorative scrap paper of your choice.

Once you have the supplies ready, follow these simple steps to make a tissue holder:

  1. Take the flat jar lid out from the metal rim, and use that to trace a circle onto your scrap paper. You won’t need the flat part after this.
  2. Use your exacto knife to very carefully cut out the circle you traced. If your kids are doing this project, it’s best to complete this step for them.
  3. Use the knife to slice an “X” in the center of the cut out paper.
  4. Fold your tissue into a bundle and place it inside the jar.
  5. Grab the tissue that is in the center of the bundle and pull it out through the X.
  6. Lay the cut out paper on top of the mason jar. Screw on the metal rim of the jar to hold down the paper.

And there you have it! If you want to go further, you can buy glue, glitter and other art supplies to decorate the jar.
