Traveling can be a tricky business, especially with children. When Rebekka Garvinson was traveling with her to see her husband, she brought her little girl, and was consequently driven towards the brink of insanity. Rebekka’s baby Rylee started to cry as soon as they boarded the first flight.
The plane was crowded, but the flight attendant allowed her to move to an area that was less busy. Nyfesha Miller sat in the same row as Rebekka. Nyfesha, sensing the mother’s level of stress, asked if she could hold the baby for a little while. Baby Rylee stopped crying after a few moments with the soothing Nyfesha gypsy woman. Rebekka allowed the baby to sleep in Nyfesha’s arms, relaxed at long last and fell asleep herself.
She is grateful for Nyfesha. She stated that Nyfesha could have gotten irritated and ignored the baby, or asked to be moved. However, Nyfesha had decided to help, and Rebekka was extremely grateful for that.
Small acts of kindness like this go a long way in a world that seems increasingly depraved. Strangers doing other’s strangers favors is the kind of thing that restores some people’s hope in humanity.
