What The Pope Just Said Is So Spot On It’s Hard To Argue With Him

Pope Francis has made headlines for his different approach to being the leader of the Catholic church. He has shown that he understands the people and can empathize with their personal situations. He has had a huge task in trying to encourage people to stay within or come back to the faith.

Pope Francis was recently in Molise which is located in Italy where he said that people should not work on Sundays any more because it can be bad for their relationships with their friends and family members. These remarks did not sit well as the area is one where poverty and unemployment are high.

Pope Francis has been a breath of fresh thus far at the Vatican. He is often brutally honest and tells people what they might not want to hear. In the Catholic faith, Sundays are regarded as holy days. According to the Bible, on the seventh day after creating the Earth, God rested.

He went on to say that he understands that people need to have a job because it helps them feel good about themselves, secure dignity and provide for themselves and their families. However, he said that businesses should not remained open on Sundays because the cost to society is too great.

People often feel a great deal of stress when working on Sundays so Pope Francis stated that this does not give them a sense of emotional freedom to be able to enjoy time with their loved ones. Time will tell if his words resonate with people across Italy.
