Bowie the parrot loves to be tickled. In this heartwarming video, Bowie sits on the arm of a couch as his owner gently rubs his head, belly and toes. Whenever his owner stops, Bowie requests more with cries of “Tickle! Tickle!” This Indian Ringneck Parrot is as sweet as he is colorful.
“I get the feeling Bowie feels entitled to tickles,” the owner wrote on Peekaboo Parrots, a YouTube channel dedicated to her many lovely birds. Birds rank among the most intelligent species of the animal kingdom and make great, unique companions for people.
In the video, the camera pans to the family dog, PaiMei, wide-eyed and eager for some tickles too. The owner gives PaiMei a little rub on his head and chin then turns back to a patiently waiting Bowie. According to the owner, “Even though PaiMei looks desperately jealous, he gets a LOT of his own tickles, hugs and kisses from me!”
