If you have ever been shocked by the weight gain that you see in your canine friend, then you can certainly relate to what happened when a family couldn’t figure out how their dog was gaining so much weight. They knew that they had not done anything to change the animal’s diet, so they couldn’t quite figure out what the source of the problem was. Then, they decided to investigate for themselves and set up a camera to record in their kitchen.
What the family discovered was that their family cat was helping to make the dog fat by in fact knocking treats off of the counter to where the dog could get them. Why exactly the cat was doing this is a bit of a mystery, but there is no doubt that the two animals were working with one another on this one.
It took quite a coordinated effort for the cat to even get the treat jar opened in the first place, but once this part of the mission was taken care of, the kitty was able to paw off each treat one by one to the floor where the dog could get it.
If you give a dog a treat, they will want another and another. In fact, they simply don’t know how or when to stop. This made Molly the dog quite fat in a short period of time as she enjoyed unlimited treats from her new best friend. This activity had to be put to a stop in order to keep Molly’s health safe, but I am sure she enjoyed it while it lasted!
