We eat different fruits on an everyday basis and don’t realize that how we cut the fruits. There are certain tricks and techniques that can be done in order to stop the waste. These are techniques to six different fruits that are said to be more convenient than the old traditional methods of slicing and dicing.

The tricks to quickly chopping up the fruit are endless. For example, with kiwifruit you can cut the ends off and spoon out. Pomegranate cut the fruit in half and stretch it out, then tap it with a wooden spoon inside a bowl and voila no juice in the eye. Mango is a slippery fruit especially when it is really ripe due to the juices, with this fruit you can cut the sides and slide down a glass.

How many of you sit around peeling and orange and notice your hands afterwards? They are dry and rough, however if you just cut around the outside then peel in half you eliminate this. The most talked about trick is with the strawberry. When you cut the stem from the strawberry you are wasting so much meat. If you take sturdy straw and push it right through the stem comes off no problem. Finally with the watermelon, just cut in half, take each half and cut 3 times on both sides cut around the top and then cut in a checker board formation and dump in a bowl.
