Healthy eating and potato chips can now be used in the same sentence. Who doesn’t love a good potato chip? They are one of the most all-around, favorite snacks or side bars for sandwiches. Now it is possible to have crispy and healthy potato chips with all natural potatoes. No more worries about all the greasy calories. This is so simple that you can make these crispy chips in just a few minutes.

All you need are: parchment paper, potatoes of your choosing, cooking spray and seasonings to fit your taste. Favorite potatoes are Yukon gold or russet white potatoes. You can even use sweet potatoes. Some suggested seasonings are sesame oil with sea salt, vinegar with salt or garlic salt with Parmesan cheese. For sweet potatoes you may want to use cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice with a little brown sugar. Just pick what you think you would like for seasoning.

Lay out a piece of parchment paper which has been cut to fit your microwave base. Take a potato and slice it thinly. You can use one of the mandolin slicers or just a sharp knife. Lay the potato slices on the parchment paper. Spray the potato slices with just a little shot of cooking spray.

Carefully place the parchment paper covered sheet in the microwave. Cook for about five minutes. Since microwaves vary, be sure to keep an eye on them. In just those few minutes you will have lovely, crispy, healthy homemade potato chips. Sprinkle the chips with the toppings or toss them in a bowl to coat. This is just too easy and so good!
