Forget being Man’s Best Friend, this dog is a Cat’s Best Midwife! When this dog noticed a mother cat in the process of giving birth, she didn’t just harass this cat or go about her business, she helped the feline out, allowing her to safely give birth to her brood.
Standing guard and even playing midwife, the dog helped the cat have a safe delivery of her precious tiny kittens.
With the dog’s support, the cat was able to birth her kittens with ease. The dog stood guard over the cat, encouraging her on, as she delivered her kittens one by one.
Surprisingly, the dog not only protected this cat as she delivered her mewling brood, she even helped clean the kittens after birth so they would yowl and come to life just as they are supposed to. Letting instinct rule, the dog continued to help the cat during the birthing process, helping the newborn kittens breathe and nuzzle, just as she would if they were her own little babes.
