Though people may not think of this immediately, this actually makes it, as well as other types of “slime” a useful potential cleaning agent.
There is actually an easy recipe that you can use to make your own slime that can clean around the house. Because the slime will be so malleable, it can get into those hard-to-reach nooks and crannies without leaving traces of slime behind. It can also naturally pick up dust off of any surface. Alternatively, you can make it as a kid’s toy, and you can give it any appearance that you like (coloring, additional objects in the slime, and glitter are some fun suggestions here).
This cleaning tool is very easy to put together, and it can be a lot of fun as well. You will need 1/2 cup of liquid starch, 1/4 cup of water, and 4 ounces of Elmer’s glue, along with a bowl, a plastic bag, and measuring cups.
There are other ingredients you can use to make the substance look cool in different ways, including glitter, glow in the dark paint, and tiny critter toys. If you make it as a cleaner, you will probably want to keep it simple, but the additions can be fun for the kids.
