Music has the ability to transform us. It heals, soothes and helps us in time of great pain and loss. Nothing can show the strength this father found deep within his soul, but you can hear it through his soothing voice as he sings to his newborn son.
Unfortunately, this beautiful moment was not created around beautiful circumstances. Chris and Ashley were waiting for the birth of their son. Chris played the guitar all during Ashley’s pregnancy for the baby to hear.
The baby loved Chris’ music and would move along with it inside of Ashley. When Ashley was 24 weeks pregnant she had to have an emergency C-Section and sadly passed away in her sleep.
Their newborn son was named Lennon James Picco. While Lennon was in the NICU Chris never left his side. He even brought in his guitar to play music for Lennon. Being a great daddy Chris knew what was best for their son. Chris played for several hours for Lennon during the last and only days of his life. Shortly, after filming this video Lennon James Picco passed away in his sleep wrapped in his father’s arms.
