Everyone knows that Christina Aguilera is a talented singer. However, it is surprising just how far her singing talents go. When she was on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, she and Jimmy Fallon engaged in a fun singing war. In this entertaining game, the Musical Impressions Generator would come up with the name of a singer to imitate, as well as a random song to be sung.
Christina sang some interesting combinations, such as Cher singing the Folgers Coffee song, Britney Spears singing “This Little Piggy,” and Shakira singing the theme to The Golden Girls. Jimmy Fallon did David Bowie singing “Grand Old Flag,” as well as Michael McDonald singing “Itsy Bitsy Spider.” Jimmy joined in while Christina sang the theme song to The Golden Girls for one of the most entertaining duets imaginable.
This was a very great clip to watch, and the two both showcase their singing talents. Fallon is more goofy than anything, but Aguilera shows real talent in not only singing, but singing in a variety of different voices. This is quite impressive, and it is likely that not many other vocal artists would be able to do what she did so easily.
She not only imitated the voices very well, but added flair to the songs that they would have added. Considering that this was all done on the spot, her improv talents are nothing short of amazing. It would definitely be fun to watch her do more of these Musical Impressions Generator combinations.
