With all of the tragedies that have been occurring recently in the world, one simple act of heroism may help us believe there are still good people existing in the world.
While working as as a bus driver, Wu Bin was fatally injured when a piece of metal smashed through the windshield gouging his side and chest. Though in excruciating pain, as well as suffering injuries that later proved to be fatal, this hero in disguise was able to steer the bus safely off the road so as no other person aboard suffered injury. He then reassured his passengers that everything was going to be okay.
Unfortunately Wu was not so fortunate and died later at the hospital of his injuries. Though it is hard to imagine that in this time terrorism and other horrific acts of destruction occurring, there are kindhearted people who still put others before themselves.
This act of chivalry should be a lesson for all of us. Though we may lose something in the end, being able to help others who are not able to help themselves reaps a reward that no amount of money could buy. We all needo to remain cautious of our surroundings and protect ourselves, but we also need to give. Hopefully it will spark a change in humanity.
