VIDEO: They Laughed At Her Because of Her Looks, It Didn’t Take Long For Her To Silence Them

After over 100 episodes, the judges of “Britain’s Got Talent” have become jaded in their first impressions of their contestants. When Lettice “like the salad” Rowbotham prances onto the stage in her furry coat, bright purple electric violin in hand, she receives her fair share of snarky remarks and looks from judges Simon Cowell and David Williams, who describes her as the “poshest” contestant to ever come on the show or ever to come to Birmingham.

Stating theatrically that she has not prepared at all for the upcoming performance, other than listening to her track in the car on her way in, it seems that the only thing Rowbotham takes seriously is her passion for playing the violin. A passion she has had since she was young.

After receiving the violin from her parents she took to playing “like duck to water.” While her flamboyant and laissez-faire attitude convinces the judges that they have a woman with more character than actual talent, once the music begins, she shows exactly why she deserves her place on the stage.

Rocking out to pop medley’s, Rowbotham’s performance proves to be so astounding that both the audience and the judges, especially Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden, are brought to the edges of their seats dancing to her spirited violin playing.

Even Simon Cowell could not stop his jaw from dropping. Whatever may come for Rowbotham in the future, she has shown that British talent can still be found in the most unlikely people.
