VIDEO: The Unbelievable Moment 6-Year-Old Brother Sings Lullaby To His Newborn Brother

There’s nothing like family ties to bind a person for life. The bonds of brotherhood run deep and in some respects can be described by a saying from the 1994 film “Wyatt Earp” where Wyatt, played by Kevin Costner, upbraids his sisters-in-law telling them that “wives come and go, but brothers are forever.” Well, one young lad was seen building his lifelong bond with his newborn brother. The two had recently bathed and he was now holding his brother swaddled in a towel.

It was then he begins to sing a lullaby to his brother. The words he sang belonged to no known lullaby but the one born out of his love for his brother. His melody said he liked his brother’s eyes, his nose, his mouth, his hand, his tongue, and his face which he said was really “you”.

He builds up his lullaby with a crescendo to the words that his brother should be glad, quite glad, that there’s no one else in the world exactly like him. At one point, he realizes his mother is recording the tender moment, but it does not faze him nor embarrass him. Instead, he resumes his singing with even more purpose of heart.

His love for his brother was evident in his eyes and his countenance. Indeed, his actions were echoing the 1969 classic hit by the Hollies called “He ain’t heavy, he’s my brother.” It was a song based on a line from the 1938 classic film “Boys Town” where Spencer Tracey addresses a young boy carrying his little brother asking if he is tired from carrying his brother. The boy responds, “He ain’t heavy, he’s my brother.”
