VIDEO: She Was Filming This Crab, Then THIS Happened. I Am FREAKING Out. OMG!

While walking near rock pools in Yallingup, Western Australia, Australian resident Porsche Indrisie decided to film the area and found a red, orange and yellow crab resting on rocks near one of the pools of water in the distance.

As she walked closer to get a better look, the crab began moving toward the water and Porsche then experienced an event so shocking and horrifying that it was reminiscent of watching an alien facehugger attack its victim in the movie Alien.

A dark gray octopus that had camouflaged itself to match the grayish colored rock surfaces in the water launched out of the pool and grabbed on to the crab. The attack was so powerful and quick that the octopus seemed to fly across the rock outcropping between the two water pools taking the crab along with it.

As Porsche yells in shock and the camera wavers, the video loses sight of the two animals at first. Then Porsche turns the camera back just in time to witness the incredible strength of an octopus. The creature, whose central body is much smaller than the crab’s main body, latches onto the crab with its body, wraps its tentacles around the rest, drags the crab back across the central dividing rock and then pulls it into the original pool of water and down into a hiding spot under a large rock within a few seconds.

Porsche refers to the recording as the “best and unexpected” video she has ever captured.
