It was an ordinary day for Cara Simmons, a hard working single mother of three, trying to make ends meet in Cleveland, Ohio. Simmons has never had a day off in her life, which led to a complete physical breakdown and a hospitalization for exhaustion.
Lucky for Simmons, her sister and employer felt she needed and deserved a little treat. They teamed up with Pay it Forward to give Simmons a day she will never forget. Simmons thought she was going to work. When she arrived, she was told the cleaning was taken care of, but they needed her to taste test the evening’s meal.
After meeting the chef, she was given one mouth watering gourmet dish after another. After her “taste test,” she was asked to answer the door. Another surprise, she was asked to help two masseurs to warm up their hands. She agreed and was treated to a four hand massage.
Oh what a tough day at work–wink, wink. She was then asked to take some clothes her “employer” was giving away.
At one point she was told the shoes cost $250.00. Her sister had actually helped chose the clothes to ensure Simmons would like them. Simmons was asked to unpack boxes that were being delivered. She saw her own belongings in them and became perplexed. It was then she learned the home was hers and completely remodeled and paid in full. Topping off her day was an all expense paid trip for two with her sister.
