VIDEO: She Puts A Coffee Mug In This Mysterious Liquid. The Result? INCREDIBLE!

This DIY coffee mug is a inexpensive way to make a one of a kind coffee mug or a set of marbled coffee mugs. These marbled mugs make great gifts for birthdays or Christmas. You can purchase your plain white ceramic mugs from any store like Target or Walmart. You can probably find the other items around the house.

Materials:

-Deep plastic tub (large empty soft spread margarine container)
-Nail polish (one or two colors)
-Warm water
-Toothpick
-Plain ceramic mug
-Clear acrylic sealant
-Old newspaper or paper towels

Cover the surface of your work area with old newspaper. Fill the plastic container with enough warm water to dip the whole mug inside without spilling the water over the sides. Once you start, work quickly because the polish will form a film on the surface of the water and if it dries, then it won’t adhere to the mug.

Pour a few drops of nail polish into the center of the water. Let it spread, then pour the second color in the center of the first. After it spreads use the toothpick to swirl a design. Quickly dip the mug straight down into the water to cover the outside of the mug. Pat the mug dry. DO NOT WIPE. Allow 2-3 hours for the design to dry, then you can protect it with a clear acrylic sealant. Hand wash only, the dishwasher will damage the design.

*AVOID PUTTING THE SEALANT ON THE AREA OF THE CUP THAT YOU WILL DRINK FROM.
