VIDEO: She Cuts Into Her Old Pair Of Jeans. When You See Why, You’ll Go Try This Yourself!

I love to find new uses for old things. Here is a creative, easy idea for using old jeans. The great news is that it requires no sewing of any kind. Anyone can do this. You need an old pair of jeans that fit at the waist and a pair of scissors that are able to cut denim fabric.

The first thing you do is cut the legs off the jeans an inch below the back pockets. You now have a pair of cut off shorts. You need to get a picture in your mind of what the finished product will be. The current waistband of the jeans will form the waistband of the apron.

It will be buttoned on around your waist with the same button that is currently being used for the pants. The current front part of the pants will be discarded, and the back part, with the pockets, will become the apron.

The second cutting step is to start at the zipper on the front and cut right below the waistband on both sides leaving what looks like apron ties. The last step is to cut down along the side seams, removing the front part, and your apron is done.

It is buttoned on instead of tied like we often think of aprons being. If you turn it around so that the button is in the back, you have a nice apron with useful pockets for holding seeds, clippers, or anything else you might need while gardening.
