VIDEO: She Covers Her Eggs In A Square Cloth. What She Does Next Has Me So Excited! WOW!!

Pairing some old silk and a few eggs can result in an incredible spring decoration. Most people dye or paint eggs to decorate them. However, wrapping eggs in silk results in an even more stunning result!

A simple trip to the thrift store yields plenty of old silk ties or scarves. The silk will be ruined after this process, so do not use any silk worth saving. Along with the silk, gather some eggs, 1/2 yard white fabric, twist ties, vegetable oil, and white vinegar.

First lay out the silk and the white fabric. Cut them into 7″ x 7″ squares. Tightly wrap each egg in a square of silk. Wrap it again in a square of white fabric. Fasten the fabric around the egg by gathering the excess fabric at the top of the egg and securing it with a twist tie. Repeat with all eggs and fabric.

Gently set all eggs into a pot in a single layer. Make sure to use a non-reactive metal pot or a glass bowl. Then fill the pot with water until eggs are well covered. Add 3 tablespoons of white vinegar and place pot on stovetop. Bring water to a boil and allow it to boil for 15 minutes.

Use tongs to remove eggs from water. Let eggs cool before carefully unwrapping the fabric. The silk patterns and dye will have transferred onto the eggs! The silk can be reused up to three times or until the pattern has significantly faded.
