Passengers on a cruise ship can now enjoy the high speed action and scary stimulation of a super water slide. Carnival Cruise lines ship the Carnival Spirit recently installed the Green Thunder Water Slide with its totally vertical drop at the start.
Cruise passengers step into the large green tube, and then hold their breath as the bottom literally drops out from beneath them. They embark are on a wild ride through the tube depths and curves, speeding along water propelled in their Speedos and bikinis.
It is a fun addition to the activities on board the Spirit, and one that is pleasing cruisers of all ages. Even those who simply choose to watch will get a great kick out of the action.

The tube was recently installed while the ship was being refurbished. The cruise line spent over $7 million in updates and new installations. The Green Thunder water slide is an addition to the numerous bars, a variety of fine restaurants and many other fun filled activities available on the ship. These include a wedding chapel, a fully equipped gym and many pools to relax in.
